Become A Writer at Technibble

Authors: Bryce Whitty

We are always looking for talented and committed writers at Technibble and we are currently looking to expand our team.

At Technibble we pride ourselves on providing our readers with original content covering the Computer Business. At the same time we are always looking to expand what we cover such as more how-tos as well as in different forms – videos, audio etc..

Technibble is a tremendous growth opportunity and we are only looking for people who are looking for a long term commitment and who do it because they love what they are writing about and are passionate about it.

The responsibilities for working at Technibble include maintaining an agreed upon posting schedule ideally responding to those who leave comments on your articles. We are after people with a good attitude, a desire to teach and also a desire to learn. You can choose writing topics from our list or you can submit your own if you have knowledge in that area.

Training will be provided for how to write for Technibble and the web in general, but we cannot train you how to write as that comes from years and years of schooling.

If you are interested in joining our team, please fill our the form in the link below and submit a sample of your writing. You can either submit existing work or write 200 words or so about the Computer Business now.

We will likely have follow up questions to what you fill out in the application form, but this should be enough to get the ball rolling. Please remember, while we all love sharing our knowledge, writing for our site is a commitment as just looking around Technibble you can see the quality of content we produce.

3DP Net – Auto Detects and Installs Network Drivers

Authors: Bryce Whitty

As Computer Technicians, one of the most important things for us to do after we install a fresh copy of Windows is to get the operating system online so we can install the appropriate drivers. Unfortunately, there is sometimes a catch 22 where we cant get the operating system online because we dont have the network driver, and we cant get the driver because we cant get online.

This is where 3DP Net comes in handy. 3DP Net is a freeware application that will either install the correct network card driver or a generic one allowing you to get online and download the appropriate drivers.

While other driver installing options exist like Driverpacks.net, some technicians prefer to only install the very latest drivers from the manufacturers website and only need a simple network driver. 3D PNet is a small, simple package to achieve that.

Technibble Is Now Hiring!

Authors: Bryce Whitty

We are looking for new writers to join the Technibble team. With over 270,000 monthly readers, 25,000+ Email/RSS subscribers and 2392 Twitter followers, your content is going to be seen.

There is no better way to get your name out there, build your profile, help your fellow Computer Technician and become recognized in the computer repair world than by writing for us.

Technibble is a tremendous growth opportunity and we are only looking for people who are looking for a long term commitment and who do it because they love what they are writing about and are passionate about it.

This is a paid position and we do not force a minimum word count on our writers but the article should take around 1 – 1.5 hours to complete. We do this to give writers the option to create non-wordy articles like graphic heavy how-to’s or research intensive articles.

Currently Commissioning

If you are able to write about any of the following topics, we would love to hear from you!

  • High level How-To Guides – For example, we wouldn’t be looking for end-user level articles such as how to install and run an antivirus program. Rather, we would be looking for an article on how to image a hard drive, how to move a MBR virus and other Technician level articles.
  • Video Tutorials – Similar to the high level how-to guides, but in video format. This role requires someone who has a clear voice that translates well into recordings
  • Managed Services – Both the business and technical side

I must point out, we all love tech and writing a few articles can be fun, but writing for Technibble is a commitment. We are looking for people we can rely on. People we can help grow as a writer and hopefully have with us in the long run. If this sounds like you, contact Bryce at: hiring1 [at] technibble.com

When you contact us, please make the subject “Technibble Job” and please let us know the following:

  • Any experience you may have? We are mainly looking at the amount of years in the business, certification, any other work/projects that could be of benefit in this job.
  • Your age?
  • What topics do you wish to cover?
  • How much/often you are able to contribute?
  • Do you have any writing samples? If so, please send them with your email. No attachments please. If not, please write 200 words on something that is part of the topic you wish to write about

All enquiries be considered, but not all will be accepted to join us.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Joint Ventures

We are always interested in potentially working with other people. If you have an idea for a product, already have one or have a website where we could mutually benefit from each others visitors. Please get in touch via our contact form.

Techs without Tools

I’m not one to get on a soapbox and share my views with strangers.  I tend to bottle up my feelings and let them build over time.

Though we have not met we are not strangers, we are friends and colleagues sharing the  common bonds of frustration, worries, victories and advice that come as part of the package deal we signed on for…Technology Services.
