American Micro Devices announced price reductions in their line of dual core processors today. In an E-mail blast to solution providers AMD stated they would cut suggested prices on five dual-core AMD Athlon™ X2 products. The price reduction is slated to begin Monday, October 8.
AMD will reduce suggested prices on the AMD Athlon™ X2 5000+, 5200+, 5600+, 6000+ and 6400+ processors and hinted to solution providers that now would be a good time to upsell customers to dual core technology.
