Microsoft announced a bid to buy Yahoo! February 1st. Yahoo! Initially rejected the offer but according to an article in The New York Post their board is now split on it, with some board members in favor of the purchase and Yahoo! CEO Jerry Yang and other board members against it. If the purchase is ultimately approved it would put both companies in a better position to compete with Google.<\/p>\n
