I havent been IN a Target store in probably 20 yrs yet there is one right next to the Lowes I go to regularly

I hate Target.  I don't know what it is about the stores- but I just do not like them at all.

All I needed to know about Target I learned from them refusing to hire me based on a credit check... before I had any debts whatsoever. IIRC, they were one of the first establishments in the US to require such checks for entry-level employees; Their owners and upper management were downright evangelical about the practice in the media, leading to the situation today where most chains require a credit check for all positions at hiring.

I work with a guy who has NEVER stepped inside a Walmart, I thought that was amazing. He has to be the only person in the US who has never been to one!

That is pretty cool.  I didn't even know what a Walmart was until I was 13 or 14.  Didn't actually go in one until my 20's.

That is pretty cool.  I didn't even know what a Walmart was until I was 13 or 14.  Didn't actually go in one until my 20's.
The first "super center" I ever went to was the Meijer store up in Kalamazoo, MI back when I was in high-school.  That's back when WalMart didn't sell food and was a 'small' store.
