Weird. Mac with FF or Safari I get a sign up window on top of the page with no way to close it.

I had a customer come in the other day.  He had some database software developed for 5k to do some local sports management stuff.  He had his guy put it on the app store so a couple of his workers could download it and use.  It was useless for anybody else as it simply doesn't work without the back end database or whatnot so he put it up for $999 figuring there was no reason anybody would buy it and it would keep people from downloading it.

He's had two sales in the last 6 months for $999 for a absolutely worthless app... of course, apple took their 30% cut, but I found that to be a pretty interesting story.
