I think this goes here but if not feel free to move it. So on the side I make computer game related youtube videos, nothing all that special, play throughts, reviews, montages and i also cast starcraft 2 games. (http://www.youtube.com/user/Xenokillaoftaw) I post most of my videos on reddit just to get a few extra views. So someone on reddit asked me if i would like to start writing articles and making videos for his blog http://www.techeh.ca/. Specially he said "If you would be able to do any kind of write ups that would be perfect. If you are interested in that then thats great. If you just want to do videos than would it be possible for me to post them to our specific youtube channel?" (his youtube channel is http://www.youtube.com/TechEhCanada
So here's the the deal. I don't get all that many views on my channel (200 vids, 30k views) and i do have adsense on the channel but it earns me like 10cents on a good day, so not a real revenue stream. But then again he as almost no views. As far as writing articles goes i don't really have a blog of my own so its a non issue to write for his blog.
So my question is, do i say that yea ill write for you, but i want all my videos to go up on my channel, and then you can post them on your blog and ill do a write up, or do i just not make a fuss about nothing start uploading to his channel? Also he's not paying me, probably should have mentioned that earlier.

Then you retain all rights to any written or video projects done for him.
Just write it and post it on the back pages of your website so you have instant copyright on it.
Vids post on your site not his, so you retain control.
never give up control or copyrights.
Xenokilla:
thats exactly what i was thinking.

Why don't you create a blog and post the content yourself? I've seen your videos and wondered why you only have them posted on youtube. If you are serious about syndicating your videos and writing a blog, set up a small web site with WordPress and PowerPress, embed your youtube videos on it and start blogging. That is basically what the other guy did.
If you don't want to go to the trouble, you can take him up on his offer. If he pays you for it as a work for hire, he is buying the copyright as well, but if you are doing it free, make sure he knows you are only giving him limited permission to syndicate the content and that it is still yours.

Well i kinda do (http://xenokilla.blogspot.com/) but im really not all that interested in spending too much time. Really i would need to join 15 or 20 game forums and just post to all of those until i could build up a decent subscriber base then start flogging my work to larger and larger game blogs, but honestly its really not all that important to me.
