Has anyone noticed that now your G+ feed is filled with stuff you aren't following?

I have all kinds of people and stuff like movies and actors showing up in my feed. Evidently it wasn't growing fast enough so they decided to push feeds you aren't following.

The only feed that I didn't sign up for was The White House. Apparently Google wants me to hear Obama bash big oil now. How do I opt out of this?

Okay, if you click on "What's Hot" there will be a slider at the top of the page. If you slide it all the way to the left you can turn it off.
