I just got an HTC One, pretty sweet phone except for the stupid "blinkfeed".

Anybody else got one? Opinions?

Sorry, I'm looking to get the MotoX in a couple days though :)

I was due for my Verizon device upgrade. Verizon wanted $200 for the phone (my "upgrade" price!) plus I would lose my grandfathered unlimited data plan ($80/mo) and the cheapest comparable plan was $110/mo.

Sprint offered same phone for $99 and the GF added me to her plan with unlimited everything for an additional $30/mo. I get a monthly phone reimbursement from work for $50 so I it was a no-brainer.

After over 10 years as a loyal customer and never really "feeling the love", Verizon can  :-* my

I had this same thing happen a few weeks ago. I upgraded my phone to a S4 and lost my unlimited data. they showed me that i was only using 1 gig a month so the 2 gig plan was fine. a week did not go by before I was getting texts that i was going over my data usage. My girlfriend has sprint and they had a deal Buy one get one free. We ordered that and I went to the store to return my Verizon phone and cancel my contract. Because i have been with Verizon for so long they brought out the district manger. i explained to him that i have been with the same carrier since 01 and that i should have never lost my unlimited data. I told him the damage was done and i was switching to sprint. what he did next shocked the hell out of me.

He told me to use the sprint phone for a few days to see how crappy their service is. and he would extend the time to another 14 days that i was allowed to return the phone and go back to my org plan. on top of that he would give me unlimited text/phone and 6 gigs of data if I stayed with Verizon and brought my girlfriend over. The sprint phones came. we set them all up and well needless to say i nor my girlfriend was staying with sprint. So i returned the next day and when i walked in they started to laugh. They knew they won me back. So my girlfriend and I are now on Verizon with two new s4's with unlimited text/phone and 6 gigs of shared data for a total of 135. I was paying 110 a month for 1 line. we returned both the sprint phones and got a refund.

I still told him that I should not have to threaten to leave a company to get this type of deal. but overall i was really happy to stay with Verizon

Todd Hughes:
Sprint coverage is definitely sub-par (crappy) compared to Verizon here in my neck of the woods but it is sufficient for my needs (barely). When I called verizon to cancel my service there were no questions asked: they politely took my info, confirmed my cancellation, and thanked me for my business. F M.
