The more I work on high technology, the more I loathe modern technology and see how little we really need any of it but the industry and retailers make us think we need it.

I plaid around with those at a Microsoft conference a year or two back- but can't remember where. It was uber sweet. Makes me think of CSI.

Speaking of cars and technology- I find myself tending to lean more to what Russ is talking about at times. There are times when it's just nice to get away from all forms of modern technology/electronics and get your hands dirty on some non-electronic mechanical devices. I used to love working on my VW dune buggy- the only electronics on that were the points for the ignition and the voltage regulator.
Now I work on my Pathfinder or GTO and the thing is burried in cables and hoses for all the sensors and do dads. But, at the same time, those sensors and do dads more than double the power output of those engines while also greatly increasing the fuel efficency.
BTW, I got my Bluetooth OBDII scanner yesterday in the mail so now I can use this with Droid

Watching the live stream of CES 2011 and there is a demo of conductive ink using wireless power technology from Fulton Innovations. They printed a box of Honey Nut Cheerios and the printing on the box actually lights up when the box is placed on a smartphone charging pad. Wow! You have to see this. We could see this on POP displays at the supermarket within the next nine months.

Starting to remind me of the game Fallout- what with all the glowing radioactive foods and what not. :p
